MY MESSAGE TO YOU 21/2/004

We do live in societies that are  called a `Post-Modern' world. I am 55 years of age and I know that what is right and wrong has changed in my life time. What is right and wrong is simple for us in the Western World because we have as a foundation the Christian belief about what the God of the Bible tells us how to live.
You know what is right and wrong. The trouble with us is we do what suits us. We do the right thing if it suits us and when we do the wrong thing we rationalize our action as right. So to you what was wrong, now becomes right. We have deluded ourselves. We are being foolish.
This satire covers what is right and wrong.

I was pleased to walk my daughter Kathryn de Jong down the isle at the Anglican Church in Orange, 14th February 2004.. Kathryn and Tony Wright I wish them every happiness for their future.

Glen Innes is 40 kilometers south. I live in the Severn Shire area and we believe that both councils will be amalgamated (Even though they say their amalgamation was voluntary. The real position is they have no choice. The NSW Government is the boss, so councils had to agree.. Have a look at a previous message 20-12-003.. 
Three councilors in Glen Innes resigned (Andrew Parsons, David Donnelly and John Donaldson) on Tuesday 10th Feb 2004.
 so an Administrator was pointed `Frank Willan.' See the photo left (Photo from Glen Innes Examiner, Feb 12th  2004).

 I support the amalgamations because we live in a world where to obtain economic benefits for the Government, Councils and us,  costs must be reduced. Amalgamations of the councils will reduce costs for the Government. 
I do not believe that as a rate payer in Deepwater that I will  see cheaper rates or improved services, because I believe that `right now' we all enjoy our life, because we live in a great country. Governments in the past (Liberal and Labor and minor parties in the Federal and State) has helped our country to prosper. And so we all benefit.
