My weekly message to you. 14/12/003

How motivated are you to accomplish your goals?

Or do you have no goals.

Older people often say, `Well I have run my race and now I will wind down, and simply enjoy my life'

Very few people have a fulfilling life for lots of reasons. Yet to have a fulfilling life is important because when you are about to die, you must be in a position to say, `I have run my race to the best of my ability.' It would be tragic if you have to say, `I wish. I wish. I'm sorry I could not sort out the hassles in my life. 
That is why you need to have definite goals, so that you become the driver of your life. There are other sections in my site that deal with being motivated. It starts with you.

Even if you are a Christian and you depend on your Savior to look after you. Jesus will help you. But you cannot be a lazy Christian. Get in the habit of spending time with Jesus nearly every day. ( I am in the habit for the last few years to wake up at about 2am, and spent well over an hour with my Lord. This time is used for new material, then I go back to bed for two hours then about another hour is spent on revision after breakfast, with old material, particularly revising books in the Bible). The purpose for this time with the Lord is to build a strong relationship with him, as I get to know him better about how he works. So do have a good time with Jesus. You will be happy you do.

If you are in the habit of going to a church, that is great. Set goals for yourself and the church. Be a dynamo in the church. Imagine what you can accomplish if you have a strong relationship with Jesus and you work in the church as Jesus has directed you. Nothing will be impossible to you.

I would say to you, `Certainly enjoy your life. Have a good happy life.' Every human being has a right to have a good life. free from pressure.
So dance through life.
If your life is good and happy do think about other people who for lots of reasons are having a lousy life. Never isolate yourself from other people. Dance in the church if you like. but while you are doing that think about the others who are battling. If you have the opportunity, help other people.

Have goals. I say to you have goals. I will say it again, have goals.
