FM Deepwater
91.1

The focus of the research is stated on the page you have just left.

In my research , I have  asked,
`What has happened to FM Deepwater?'

I have no information to change the info I posted previously...Hendrik

BELOW A DRAFT ONLY

This FM research with 91.1 is not a search and destroy, but is designed to reveal why the Deepwater FM in Deepwater has not worked, or we can say failed in Deepwater .
A FM board member (Deepwater) said to me (researcher), `The  FM GlenInnes station might save the FM Deepwater station.' This statement was made after a presenter, that had been on air, resigned from the station (at least 17 presenters started at the FM Deepwater and left.).

Today 16th November 2004, it is true, only the GlenInness people can save the station.
The ABA denied a second license for GlenInnes so the Deepwater license  now covers
GlenInnes as well .

The Deepwater FM Station 91.1 was to be a hub, where the Deepwater people, the Community groups would come.
That vision from the FM Deepwater Committee has not happened.

I now place before you my research.
The postings will happen during the next few weeks.
The first w/e 20th Nov 2004

BELOW A DRAFT ONLY

Please note (the researcher (Hendrik)  my research has a truth which you must discover, for that reason all evidence I post on my site has a number of possibilities, i.e. 1-4. Three possibilities I believe are more wrong then right, and one I believe supports my research,
At the end of my research I will list all the possibilities that I believe are correct and if you discover you agree with my findings you will have a grade. If you get 100% correct you will have a High Distinction. 75%  correct a Distinction. 60% correct a Credit, 50% correct a Pass and anything less is a failure.
So enjoy looking at my research.

I will now give you an overview of my research and then next week I will start posting the evidence of my findings

My research has identified three clear positives that the 91.1 group has supplied, and is continuing to supply.

The first is  the ability to supply the infrastructure. To build and develop technology that allows transmission of voice to people and then to develop a studio that allows presenters to operate. There are now two facilities. One here in Deepwater at the railway, and another in GlenInnes .
These facilities are major achievements.

The second is that the people in Deepwater and GlenInnes can switch on their radios anytime and they can listen to Deepwater 91.1 or an GlenInness 105.9.
To run two facilities 24 hours a day is a great achievement.

The third is that the tower that is nestling against the Deepwater Railway building is being demolished and the equipment is being transferred to a tower 25 meters away. This means that the Deepwater Railway building is again free from a large tower that diminished the value of the building in its appearance.
People  interested in preserving the area, I am sure thank the 91.1 committee for this move.

Think about the possibilites.
1/ Any person can accomplish the same as the FM group
2/ They were just lucky they could do it
3/ They were entrepreneurial and had the ability to do it.
4/ Money is everything.

BELOW A DRAFT ONLY

My research has also discovered a serious flaw within the FM Deepwater 91.1 Committee.
In spite of these major achievements the group is operating separate from the people in Deepwater.
I have discovered that one issue in 2000 to 2001 which is an issue with people, that were involved with the FM Deepwater members who were working on the station and its committee has  remained  unresolved. This unresolved situation which is discussed later, as evidence, has led to the people in Deepwater, consider the station an accessory so they could do without it. Which means they could do without  the FM 91.1 committee.
Today( November 2004), it is as though the 91.1 group is in Cyber space operating without roots down into the people in Deepwater. This means that the value of the FM 91.1 in the lives of the people in the town is seriously devalued . At present it appears there is a 100% no input of the Deepwater community to 91.1. Other then three presenters who operate the studio for a few hours. The studio doors are closed for 90% of the time.
My understanding is that because the Deepwater group 91.1 have been unable to build up a group to support Deepwater  that would have made it viable, they are now starting fresh with a group in GlenInnes.
But the problem  that existed in the past, still exists today
( November 2004), and it is an impediment that has prevented the 91.1 from flowering in the past and probably will retard the  development in Deepwater and GlenInnes in the future.
This impediment will be obvious as you review my research in the weeks ahead
I believe an  attitude change, that recognizes the value of each person in the community (and this includes those who had problems with the FM group in the past), needs to happen from the 91.1  committee towards the Deepwater people.
We know what should happen, but they (Deepwater FM Committee) may not have the `people skills' in their committee to sort out the problem. If that is the case, they need to find someone who has the skills in dealing with people, so that goals can be achieved. This is an important issue for the FM group because it is clear that what they did in the past has not worked.
As the author of this study, I believe all groups can be working together, so that 91.1 becomes a strategic place in the Deepwater Community.
It is in their hands.

Think about the possibilities
1/Who cares. People are an accessory.
2/People must toe the line with the FM group.
3/The FM group do not need people.
4/People are critical to a successful FM station

So look at the material I have presented to make my case,
it will be posted in the next few weeks
I have also listed recommendations at the end of my research
See you next week
