Democracy

The greatest gift we have in our Western world is `Democracy' which is underpinned by a justice system. The rule of law.
Our country Australia, half the population did not vote for a Liberal or National , yet because we believe in Democracy those who did not vote with the government accepted the elections as being right and accept the winner.

John Kerry was close, but Ohio was the problem with its 20 plus seats.
Because of true Democracy Kerry conceded graciously and he wanted the nation to work together to make a stronger America.

Bush is the 43rd President of the US. He worked hard to win this election. Even on polling day both Bush and Kerry work the whole day because they realized either side had a chance of winning. 

George W. Bush won Ohio and with this win he again was re-elected.

Graciously Latham conceded to Howard.

Australia is a strong Democracy.

Democracy does have it weaknesses because people are the key to Democracy. 
That is why we need strong leaders in the country who have a sense of justice and compassion. We need an Education System which teachers our children not only the basics such as English, Mathematics and learning to read, we also need our moral beliefs to be taught to our children. We need to be taught what is right.
When we do what is right it is good for all of us.

Think about our own situation and the committees we belong to. Sometimes people will elect a person that is not good for an organization.

Think about yourself..
 Are you a person who believes in the values we value in our Democracy

Do you believe in doing the right thing in all situations.

Is your whole life about doing what is right, and you teach what is right, not only to your children, but you practice it with people around you. and even more important you practice what is right when only you know what you have done.
I hope so.

But if that is not you, then start looking at yourself and pull yourself in line.
It will take a lot of discipline to break bad habits, but you can achieve good habits if you never give up.
If you go through my site you will know that what I am saying to you is what I believe and practice.

You can be a light in your community if you want to.
But you must want to. I hope you do.
