18-7-005
It is 2am and I have been thinking about how my life can be re-aligned where God in reality becomes first.
The world around is so busy, so many things to do. 
My office is in my house, often I am working for 8 hours at my desk.
So I have decide to experiment, by slotting in my day, times about 3 or 4 times to do revision with my memory work with the Bible texts.
I will let you know how it is working in a couple of weeks.

11 pm and by the time I finish it will be 12:30 am
so this message is 13-7-005 and 14-7-005.
So God has told you what to do. 
You know it (Go has told you time and time again), but you simply do not obey.
This is 2005. We live in a world that we call the Post-Modern. Yesterdays rule do not apply.
Is it true?
Can we now redraw the truths of yesterday and that includes the principles of yesterday.
Superstitions is out. 
Through our knowledge we have reasoned, 
through our intellect, we can decide what is best in spite of God.
For a true Christian, we have one serious thought: 
Is it true, we do not belong to ourselves and all that matters is what God wants.
If we follow God's voice, the voice inside us, are we kidding ourselves.
Is God's control of yourself absolutely real.

10-7-005
I have placed a note on my desk yesterday which states that I have to focus 150% on my work. I simply have to get to work. Yesterday is gone, all that matters is today and today leads to tomorrow.
You will notice, I... as a Christian has been having a serious battle with myself, 
what I..I..I..I want to do, verses what God..God..God wants me to do.
I have also made a note on my desk. 
I know what God wants me to do. 
What God wants me to do is personal and my own journey before God. 
 I know 150% what God wants me to do.
I must obey.
God is so real to me, and God is not a subjective notion, (maybe he exists or not). God has had his hand on me all my life. I became a Christian when I was 11. I walked down the isle in a Billy Graham meeting in Sydney.
I have disobeyed  all my life. In spite of my reluctance to be obedient to God's voice he has been training me and using me.
 It is in the last few years that God has been teaching me and bringing me  into line seriously.
I know many of you will know what is happening to me, because my battle is not unique. But Christians
have to battle...self interest and God's interest.
I know God is helping me to succeed, and I know he is also helping you.
I know God is helping you, because he loves you in the same way he cares about me.
God helps all his people.
That means, it includes you and me for sure.

It is 3:45 am as I type in these words. The patience of God is quiet amazing. I know God has been teaching me for 46 years and the last 20 years in Deepwater God has gotten serious in teaching me and training me. I have been rebellious always. Knowing what God wants me to do, but I have been hardened by my thinking and my own plans.
But I think 6-7-005 God is bringing me into line.
I would have to say...I have not brought myself into line...No! God has been bringing me in line.
I thank God for doing it.

4-7-005
You can win the battle. Your flesh is strong, but Jesus Christ is stronger then you he will help you

The best test for you, to see whether you need to make any changes
in you life is to test yourself and say:

`If I have 3 months to live 
I would change this. 
I would change that. 
I will start to do this 
and that.

If that is you above, 
do this and that now. 
Change this and that now.

The test is so simple, isn't it.
Change your life, so that if you are given a few weeks to live, that you will simply keep doing what you are doing because you are doing God's work.now.

On my Christian page www.hendrikdejong.info I make a statement, How real are these things? How real is God to you?
If you like , the true feeling, the presence of God in your life.
Two things.
1/ When you go to church your behavior is that which is expected from you. You are accepted by the people in your church because your behavior is tailored to fit in with the Christian group. In the group you can be a non-conformer different in many ways, but you fit in the circle. If you were outside the circle you would be outside of the group and not accepted. So you toe the line.

2/  The interesting question is. What happens to you when you are in the home, by yourself? 
The only person to answer to is you. 
If you go to my Christian page above you will see I talk about those situations when you are alone.
Do you have a private, personal problem
What happens when you are at home is tailored according to how 
real the presence of God is in your life.
If the presence of God is not strong in your life, do your best to fix that problem.
The only way I know to fix that problem is for you to spend time with your Lord at home and spent time in your Bible.
For me, my time is early. For instance while I pen these words it is 12: 45 am. When I close down my computer I will spend at least 1am to 2am, and being a even date I will be spending time in Psalms.
I am pretty sure your time at home with your Lord is extremely important.
So do your best.
Spend time with Jesus your wonderful Lord .

28-6-005
It is 3:40 am. I go to the Bible in the N/T on odd dates and the O/T in the even dates
So for a few months I have been traveling through Psalms. 
This morning I have been looking at Psalm 31: verses 1-5. We can certainly become strong when we are Christians.
There needs to be no weakness in us because God is our rock (Solid as a rock, unmovable. God will never be weak or fall over). We can come to God for safety, a refuge, a place we can feel completely safe.. He will look after us and he is a fortress. It does not matter what happens to us as God being our fortress we can withstand any onslaught
health, financial, relationships, careers. and the list can go on. So many unfavorable things can happen to us.
With God we have not got a single thing to worry about.
In you Lord I commit my spirit; you have redeemed me,
O Lord, faithful God.

27-6-005
It is 1 am. When I get up at this time and as I walk to my office I know in a real way  I am coming to spend time with my Lord and Savior.
I have just heard on the radio (ABC) that suicide people in Iraq have killed people again. It is impossible for people to claim they are doing it (killing people) for God.
God in the Old Testament and the New Testament states we are to treat other people as we want them to treat us.
We know that those who train people to become suicide bombers do not belong to God.  God does not want people to kill others.
I will talk to you again.

PS, I have stopped scanning my notes because as I scan more, the JPG will waste memory and slow down my computer. In Deepwater I am still stuck with dialing in and out. I am told in Deepwater we may have broadband this year some time.

My time with Jesus is intact because the habit of having a time with my Lord early, such as, as I pen these words it is 3am, I am now spending an hour in Mark chapter 9 and 10.
I have 6 days before University exams, over the years I put aside my time with Jesus because of time pressure, but not now because a good habit has developed.
I hope you also develop a good habit where your time with your Lord is happening in all circumstances.

As a Christian this page is probably the one that deals with my own battle to do what God wants me to do.
For 20 years God has told me to do two things.
These two things, exactly what they are does not matter. 
I know God, time and time again has told me to obey and do them.
But I have not.
But I have to obey. I know it.
These are good promises God has promised me if I obey.
These promises have been with me for 20 years and these promises are conditional. If I obey God the engine will start and take me on a fabulous journey.
Amazing yet I do not obey.
Absolutely amazing.
But I am going to obey.
Each day I am going to share with you  if I have been able to obey.

I am going to use Proverbs to help me.
You will need to read the text yourself. Use your own Bible.
