Matthew 22
 |

You shall love the Lord with ALL your heart, and with ALL
your soul and with ALL your mind.
That word All is
talking about you and me to do these things with 100%. There is no room
for even a 1% error. God requires that sort of obeying.
Not a single person
on the planet would say they love God with such 100% devotion (I may be
wrong. If so, then it may be I am simply saying something because of my
own short comings).
|
|
Let me
see if I can make my case..
If you do not love God will all, all, all you are sinning.
It is even more serious.
You are sinning continuous, every second, hour, day, weeks and
years.
Even more serious.
You know the problem, yet you do not obey.
If you rate sin as sin absolutely, you are saying that your sin has the
same value as all others.
So you, not all, all, all obeying God, means your
sin value is the same as the adulterer, the murderer and what about the
person who was responsible for 50, 000,000 who died in WW11. The person
who was responsible for killing millions of Jews.
Even Jesus said`, `If you sin against the son of man it would be
forgiven, but, if you blaspheme against the Holy Spirit, it will not be
given in this world or in the world to come.
I am not going to extend my argument.
You can make up your own mind,
are you going to make exceptions in different situations. If you
do, I have made my case. |
|
For many Christians, your disobeying God are
minor. Not obeying God can be called infractions, like fines when
you speed. You pay the fine and you keep going. And note that
infractions are such that you keep going.
We serve God and when we make a mistake, we are caught, but we
keep going. |
|
Your sins may be severe, but, read below and you know
that, what ever your problems are in disobeying God, there is a way back
to God |
|
If you look at Israel's history we see that they found
it impossible to obey God 100%.
God said about David, who became King after Saul., God wanted a
man `who was after his heart' Yet David committed adultery with
Bathsheba, and David had the woman's husband killed.
Not a small sin. Adultery and killing.
Yet those sins by David did not destroy David. God sent a messenger, a
prophet Nathan to expose him and that is what happened and David
repented. Even though there were serious consequences for David, we read
wonderful Psalms (such as Psalm 30) where God forgave David and his work
with God continued. |
|
For you,
what ever happens to you keep doing God's work.
Spend time with your Lord Jesus Christ,
put your problem before him, if need be own up and ask for
forgiveness.
But then run again.
Your worst enemy would be yourself, if you keep reminding yourself you
have made a mistake.
God gives you a fresh start. Your slate is clean.
Be happy and run the great race that will give you a fulfilling life.
