A trip from Deepwater, Stannum, Torrington
then five kilometres before Emmaville going East through Tent Hill then back to Deepwater about 75 kilometres.
My photos start at Deepwater then to Stannum. Anti-clockwise.

This is right on the corner of the highway where we turn left to go towards Stannum

After a number of years finally the first shed is being erected on the Deepwater Industrial Estate

Believe it or not, if we look right as we drive to go to Stannum on the right we see the race course where we have a race meet each January, 1000's come

That is a bit better we can see the stand.

This is the road. About 16 kilometres to Stannum and the road is like this. Pretty Good

A few kilometres on we see cattle feeding on the side of the road. 2005 June we are still in a serious drought which has affected the entire state, almost NSW has 90% almost declared drought

Approx we arrive to Stannum
16 kilometres. We now turn left to go to Torrington

My car right on the corner of the intersection in Stannum. It only has about 6 or 7 houses here.

Communication tower in Stannum

You can see I'm not running away to hide.

Stannum to Torrington is about 13 klm and there is approx 7 klm dirt road, not too bad.

Cemetery just before arriving at Torrington

Coming into Torrington

Torrington Hall on the right

Closer look at the hall.

The cars you can see above are directly opposite the hall. A meeting was being held.

This building was a hotel and as at June 2005 is for sale.

This house is also in Torrington.
A unique house.
Go to my Frontpage and click on the button Torrington. There are a number of photos of this house.

Also in Torrington.

What can we say. Even in earlier days there were standards in building tin huts.

Torrington's Anzac's April 15th of Gallipolis is an important event and over a 100 plus people attend the 6 AM dawn ceremony.

Torrington is an important area for visiting for natural sights which you walk to.
Such as Mystery Face etc.
More of tourism in Torrington will be posted to give you more information for visiting this area.

This sign is in the middle of the town, opposite the hall we saw further up. Information where to go to enjoy the walks and sights in the National Park

New we are leaving Torrington and going towards Tent Hill

South of Torrington and now going east approx.
The right photo is zoomed from above. I took the photo because it looked great

The road between Torrington and Tent Hill is dirt and the road is lousy, corrugate, rough etc. Definitely not good for taking a caravan with you.

Right photo zoomed above has sheep on the road, I think

Still going towards Tent Hill

On the right along the road.

Right back is myself, Hendrik
Back beside me is my brother Arthur

Rich vegetation around this Ottery mine

Still to come photos of Tent Hill, Emmaville and Deepwater.
